New DSPA initiatives set to aid growth and improve sales of UK businesses 8th February 2008 The Digital and Screen Printing Association (DSPA) has appointed John Keith to the newly formed position of Business Manager. John’s duties will include boosting association membership figures and introducing new member benefits; designed to address and support businesses that trade in this competitive and ever-changing market. John joins the DSPA from The British Coatings Federation, where he was responsible for commercial growth. With almost 27 years of coatings and chemicals experience, he has worked with some of the most prestigious global businesses, including ICI, BP Oil UK and Burmah Castrol Chemicals. A proven track record for delivery against targets, and a specialism in the development of customer and stakeholder relationships made John is considered the ideal candidate to drive the UK association, further improve business growth and impart a wealth of blue chip commercial experience to benefit its members. Peter Kiddell, president, DSPA comments: “We are delighted to have secured John’s appointment. We were looking for a high calibre, experienced, business professional to help steer the DSPA, and due to John’s strong background and hunger for the challenge, he was always our first choice.”
The recent DSPA seminars concentrated on topical areas relevant to screen and digital printers of all sizes, with sessions on flat-bed printers and information on how to go green and get profitable.
The day was rounded off with a preview of the association’s report on the state of the UK market. The speakers for the occasion, held in Oxford, were Sophie Matthews-Paul, Paul Machin and Peter Kiddell.
