Screen Printing - Read Document
Screen printing is an extremely versatile process and can be broken down into various market sectors: POS/Graphics/Posters, CD/DVD, Electronics, Ceramics, Glass, Textiles, 3D – bottles, containers, white goods. It uses a wide range of printing mediums from conventional printing inks, dyes, chocolate, antibiotics, conductive mediums, and a whole range in between. Machines can range from a simple (home made) hand bench to multicolour automatic lines.
Pad Printing - Read Document
Originally developed for printing watch dials the pad printing process is particularly suitable for printing high definition images onto 3 dimensional products. Concave and convex shapes hold no fears for this process as is demonstrated when it is used to print golf balls. The process has come along way in recent years with developments enabling printing of larger image areas, higher speeds, ink ranges to suit almost all substrates, new plate and inking systems.
Digital Printing - Read Document
In recent years the developments in Digital printing have been great. Increased production rates, improved image clarity, considerable reductions in capital equipment costs. Developments in ink technology have enabled the ability to print on a wide range of substrates.
Process Comparison - Read Document

This gives an “at a glance” comparison of the various processes. Screen Printing, Pad Printing, Digital Printing, Dry Offset Printing, Heat Applied Transfers and Hotfoil Printing.

Comparisons such as printed ink film thickness, operator skill levels, part shape limitations and a whole host of other parameters.
